This is the visa that a worker who is going to be hired by a British company must obtain.
In the previous migration legislation of the United Kingdom, it was known as Tier 2 (General).
In order to qualify for this visa, the British company must be an authorized sponsor and must obtain a “sponsorship certificate” which is the code that identifies those whose hiring has been authorized.
There is a list of occupations that can be filled by hiring a foreigner with this visa and a minimum salary.
This visa also requires a minimum knowledge of the English language equivalent to a B1.
