Visas for Israel
Visas are not required for tourist visits which do not exceed three months (90 days) in duration.
For stays of more than 90 days or for work purposes it is necessary to obtain the corresponding visa.
Please note that the Israeli authorities have the authority to refuse entry to any person, including if they have all the required documentation, if for example it is considered that such person has sympathy with the Palestinian cause.
The border authorities can submit travellers to long interrogations, both on entry and exit. It is not unusual for interviews to include questions of a personal nature or for there to be exhaustive inspections of equipment, personal effects or clothing.
It is advisable for those Spanish citizens who arrive in Israel from Egypt, especially by air, to contact the Spanish Embassy in Tel Aviv prior to travelling, in order to avoid serious difficulties on their arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport.
